Overview
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will play a key role in supporting the overall management and operations of our organization.
Duties
- Assist the Director in overseeing daily operations and staff management
- Educate, observe and mentor staff members to enhance performance and professional growth
- Identifies, schedules and interviews with teacher candidates
- Ensures curriculum is executed in alignment with the center standards
- Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action
- Builds and communicates weekly schedules
- Daily management of classroom ratios and break schedules
- Manages new hire paperwork and all employee files in compliance with state licensing regulations in conjunction with the director
- Leads tour with prospective families, builds and maintains waitlist
- Regularly audits and maintains all records and files for students and teachers
- Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations
- Responsible for accident/incident documentation
- Medication management
- Manages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and maintain information
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership qualities and willingness to take the lead
- CPR and First Aid Certification highly preferred
- Strong ability to play and active team role in a fast-paced environment
